Who’s Martine Verweij?
Martine is on a mission to get kids moving!
Martine has a strong sporting background having competed for Great Britain and the Netherlands as an age-group athlete in cyclo-cross and triathlon. Martine’s sporting successes also include long-distance endurance challenges, one of which was cycling 2,700 miles from Canada to Mexico in the world’s longest solo off-road race, completing it in 26 days straight.
As founding director of Raceways Events C.I.C. and founding CEO of Kids Run Free, Martine inspires others to get active.
The charity Kids Run Free offers two programmes, Kids Run Free in the Park and Marathon Kids designed for primary schools. Creating fun, sustainable running opportunities for 0-16 year olds, Kids Run free aims to ignite a passion for sports and physical activity in children and young people, enabling them to become happier, healthier and more confident.
