After a tough two years, Birmingham is back in business. And what better way to celebrate than with the Birmingham BusinessLive Awards 2022.

And we’ve just found out we’re up for an award!

We’re delighted to announce we’re on the shortlist for Small Business of the Year.

Reacting to the news, founder Paul Griffiths said:

“We are delighted to see Aspire shortlisted as finalists for what promises to be a celebration of business excellence across our great city. Aspire are fortunate to work with lots of brilliant people and have a real social impact across the country thanks to the development of our partner network which has grown from 23 to 45 partners during the pandemic. We have also seen a surge in learner numbers with our apprenticeship training arm doubling over the past year.

“Thanks to our brilliant team, we have delivered numerous services, training and support that has engaged in excess of 400,000 children in physical activity over the past 12 months. This has also led to further job creation, including a number of apprentices who have joined via the Kickstart scheme.

“With all eyes on Birmingham for this summer’s Commonwealth Games, the awards evening will no doubt be a night to remember and highlight the achievements that Birmingham businesses have had over the past 12 months. Congratulations to all of the finalists and we look forward to celebrating with you on the 18th March.”

The ceremony is set to be held at the ICC and, being the first in-person business awards for over two years, promises to be an evening full of fun and celebration.

In their own words, “The event will also be a chance for the city to let its hair down, enjoy a three-course dinner and then party the night away with our live band The Tzars.””

Time to put on our dancing shoes!
